Good branding should always engage the audience it’s aimed at. And when that audience are creatives themselves, it needs to be especially appealing and engaging.
Sony Professional Europe’s series of webinars aimed at professional filmmakers required branding which did exactly that, and so we set about creating branding for the ProSessions series which engaged and appealed to filmmakers globally yet upheld the professional feel and values of the Sony brand.
When creating the branding, we needed to ensure that it was relevant to the target audience of professional filmmakers.
We therefore drew our inspiration from the red recording dot, so symbolic of recording of any kind.
This then anchored the typographic logo around it, on striking charcoal grey and white backgrounds to give the branding a professional look and feel.
As these webinars were aimed at professional filmmakers, creating an animated sting for use on promotional trailers and as part of the webinar themselves was an obvious step in engaging the target audience.
The red recording dot allowed us to make a feature of this aspect of the branding when creating the supporting animation, and really brings the branding to life in a very visual manner.
In addition to the initial branding and supporting sting, we also created a variety of social media assets, optimised to work across the various social media channels as required. These all helped to market the webinars in the run up to the launch of the ProSessions series.
Working on a project from the branding through to the supporting marketing assets is a great way of ensuring brand consistency, and this is exactly what was achieved with the ProSessions series, which are instantly recognisable as part of this offering from Sony Professional Solutions.
