Brentwood Development Partnership
Community is at the heart of so much of what we do here at Blue Serif. We were therefore delighted to act as the creative support for the Joint Venture between Brentwood Borough Council and Morgan Sindall, the Brentwood Development Partnership.
Due to the importance of this project for the community of Brentwood, it was crucial that aspects such as the branding and brand language reflected the Brentwood Development Partnership and how it would best serve the borough.
As such, Blue Serif facilitated workshops with key stakeholders from the joint venture in order to ascertain the various parties of interest within the borough and how we could create a name, branding and marketing assets which would reflect the various audiences.
Our close working relationship with the Joint Venture allowed us to create branding reflecting all of the groups it needed to represent. Using a graphical device, the loop of the ‘B’ of ‘Brentwood’, creates a circle to represent how all groups – such as residents, businesses and visitors – interconnect and are welcomed within the borough, on the backdrop of fresh, vibrant colours representing regeneration.
Extensive brand guidelines were then created for the joint venture. These clearly show anyone that needs to use the logo and supporting assets best practice for their use, to ensure brand consistency across the board, regardless of who is using the brand assets and where they’re using them.
The Brentwood Development Partnership also required a suite of marketing assets as they went out to the people of Brentwood to showcase how they were planning on regenerating sites within the borough. Collateral included traditional print material such as pull up banners, flyers and leaflets, as well as a holding page, ready to get the initial information out there.
This quickly developed into the creation of print and marketing collateral, content marketing such as email newsletters and a full website. We now offer ongoing marketing support to the Joint Venture, regularly working on assets such as the creative for consultation documents and social media marketing and management.
The Brentwood Development Partnership creative has been a joy to work on, and we are pleased to have forged close relationships with all parties involved. It’s great to get stuck into a project and brand such as this, and we’ve enjoyed becoming the Brentwood Development Partnership’s go-to creative agency for ongoing design support.
